For equipment, any hand-held blender, regular blender or food processor would work just fine. This website has wonderful recipes:

No recipes needed. Just cook a veggie or a fruit if it’s a hard one, and mash. No equipment needed either….just a steamer (or microwave) and fork. For some foods, a handheld blender is enough. I’ve never bought a baby food book, what a waste of money. If you don’t know how to cook carrots or potatoes or peel an apple, go to the library and borrow a book :)

well you should have a steamer (you can buy some fancy gadgets but my steamer is just a pot with a steaming basket in it and works great)

if you want to puree then buy a food processor (you can use a blender but a food processor can do MUCH more, it can chop, slice, etc so you can use it for regular cooking too, with a food processor you can also puree or make things more chunky for when they are older, with a blender you can only blend)

you don’t need a recipe book.

basically all you do is buy vegetables and steam them (steamer will have directions), then throw them in food processor with a bit of water and puree or chop.

with fruit you can stew it (you bring about 3 inches of water to a boil in a pot, put cut up fruit in water and simmer for about 7 minutes) then throw in the food processor and puree or chop. (you can use the water the fruit cooked in to mix)

it is really VERY easy and simple!

email me if you have any questions

I just use a regular blender. Depending on how soft the food is you can put it straight in or steam it first. Add enough water to blend properly and get the right consistancy. I use ice cube trays to freeze individual servings and then vacum seal them into bags of 8 to keep them fresh. So far I’ve done steamed carrots, canned green beans, frozen peas, baked sweet potato and squash.
